Terri Dallas Prunskis, M.D. earned her medical degree as well as her anesthesiology training from Howard University School of Medicine.  She went on to the University of New Jersey School of Medicine where she completed her Pain Management Fellowship.

Before co-founding the Illinois Pain Institute, Dr. Dallas-Prunskis was recruited by the University of Chicago to develop and direct their comprehensive pain management center, which she did for seven years.

She is a frequent presenter around the Chicagoland area as well as an active member of the American Medical Association, Chicago Society of Anesthesiologists, American Academy of Pain Management, the McHenry County Medical Society, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the Illinois State Medical Society. She is certified by the American Academy of Pain Management.
